Charlie Ward is a writer and historian based in Darwin. He has worked as a researcher with the Stolen Generations’ Link-up program in Alice Springs and as an oral history interviewer for the National Library of Australia. Now completing a PhD on Aboriginal self-determination policy and the Gurindji people, Charlie’s work has appeared in journals including Meanjin and Southerly. His first book is A Handful of Sand: The Gurindji Struggle, After the Walk-off (Monash University Press 2016).
