Helen Barnes-Bulley is a graduate of Sydney University and of the National Institute of Dramatic Art.

She is a novelist and short story writer, and has also worked for several years as an editor and literary assessor.

Helen has been a writer of radio drama for the ABC and a recipient of an Australian Writers' Guild Award and she has taught writing classes at schools, universities, TAFE and at Varuna.
