Julie Bowen Kearney lives in Brisbane, Australia. Her work has appeared in New Asian Writing and Cleaver Magazine in the US. She was one of three writers shortlisted for the 2014 Queensland Literary Awards for her manuscript 3 for a Wedding, 4 for Death.

Currently she is working on the second of a trilogy of historical novellas set off the coast of Queensland.
