Kate Veitch came to writing fiction late, after a restless sort of life working at jobs ranging from bookselling to construction development, and much travelling.

She is now the author of two novels, Listen (2006) and Trust (2010) published in Australia by Penguin, also published in the US, Germany, and the Netherlands. She is currently gathering the courage to tackle a third novel, and enjoying writing short pieces.

She divides her time between San Francisco and Coorabell in northern New South Wales, and is in the market for an old lazy dog who won't bother the echidnas.
