Colin Tatz researches, teaches and writes in the fields of comparative race politics, Aboriginal affairs, Jewish studies, migration studies, youth suicide, genocide and the Holocaust, and sports history.

He has held chairs of politics at the University of New England and Macquarie University, and is currently visiting professor in politics and international relations at the Australian National University.

Seven of his twenty-three books are on sport.
