Kim Scott is a multi-award winning novelist. His most recent novel is That Deadman Dance (Picador, 2010).

Proud to be one among those who call themselves Noongar, Kim is founder and chair of the Wirlomin Noongar Language and Story Project which, among other achievements, has resulted in the publication of four English/Noongar-language picture books, Mamang, Noongar Mambara Bakitj, Yira Boornak Nyininy and Dwoort Baal Kaat (UWA Publishing, and see www.wirlomin.com.au). Kim was also editor of the The Best Australian Stories 2013 (Black Inc.).

He is the recipient of an Australian Centenary Medal (2003) and was the 2012 West Australian of the Year. Kim is currently Professor of Writing at Curtin University.
