For the first Vice-Chancellor’s Forum event of 2018, QUT has invited Stan Grant to talk about his powerful essay, ‘My grandfather’s equality’, from Griffith Review 60: First Things First.
In this essay Stan explores the politics of identity, challenges to liberalism and the threat of populism. He interrogates what it means to be a First Australian, an Australian citizen and a man at ease in the world. He has a unique and thought-provoking perspective on issues facing Indigenous Australians.
